I started my professional hair stylist career as assistant to Sam Villa who is a Master of the craft. After completing his rigorous assistant training program I knew it was my passion. I followed my dream and went on to work in top salons in the area.

With more than 25 yrs behind the chair I still believe in continued education. Some of my advanced education and Certificates include: Vidal Sassoon (San Francisco), Tony & Guy (London), Nicholas Academy, Redkin, Keune, Sue Pemperton, Vero Color (Las Vegas), Shrink Link Hair Extensions (Los Angeles), and Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Treatment (San Francisco).

I opened Tonic in 2013 with the idea of Friendly, High end, Professional and current trend salon and specialize in all colour techniques including: High lift Blondes, Three dimensional color, Balayage, Tints,  and fun fashion colors. I love doing Shrink Link Hair Extensions for clients who desire longer hair, added volume, or both! I also specialize in Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatments, custom Haircuts and styling. I feel listening to my clients is very important and I strive to help each one achieve their personal Hair Goal. I couldn't feel more blessed to have Tonic, love what I do, and work with such an amazing and talented staff.

KENT FRY
STYLIST, 559-410-1119

Named after one of my fathers haircut clients, I was sort of born into the business. My first job included assisting in the salon, at fashion shows, magazine shoots and hair shows across California.

I found that where I am most comfortable is behind the chair. Hair color is what sparked my interest the most initially, and my career has revolved mainly around coloring and cutting.

With thirty years in the industry, I have trained with several major hair color companies and owned my own salon. Still committed to continuing education, I have most recently attended classes from companies such as Keune, Aveda and Brazilian Blowout. My work has recently been seen in Glamour UK magazine.

Stylist, 650-771-4054

I am a master stylist with more than 20 years in the business. I specialize in haircutting as well as color using Goldwell Professional color line, and am certified in the Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment. I have always been drawn to the beauty industry and come from a family of seven brothers and sisters, four of us in the business. I actually began my career in San Carlos, in my niece's salon.

I have a great appreciation for anything in the creative field and believe I have a true artistic vision. When I'm not at the salon you will most likely find me treasure hunting through estate sales and flea markets, as I am also passionate about interior decorating and event styling. I started my second business, Sybil Stutts Event Styling in 2014. I believe the more creativity you use, the more creative you become.

I believe in continued education and strive to stay at the forefront of my field with my knowledge of new products and services available in order to provide excellent service to my clientele. It is my goal to create personalized styles for each of my clients to make them look and feel beautiful.

I place a high value on listening to my clients and understanding their need, and most importantly respecting the integrity of their hair. My devotion to my clients over the years has allowed me to develop a special bond with each and every one. After many years in the business, I can honestly say that I still love coming to work every day! I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey.

Andrea Shabatura
Stylist & Make Up Artist, 650-766-8035

Ever since I can remember, I have had a passion for the beauty industry. To me it is a form of
art and I enjoy creating and playing with new cuts, colors, styles, and makeup on anyone or any
doll I could get my hands on. In 2006, I graduated and received my California Cosmetology
License from the College of San Mateo.
I proceeded to attend a two-year apprentice program at Trio Salon in Burlingame. It was there
where I learned more about working in a salon and completed a rigorous cut and color training
program focusing on Goldwell and Redken hair color. I am also certified in the Brazilian and Keratin Smoothing systems, and have continued to take advantage of in-salon and outside education as well as trade shows to keep up with the ever changing hair world. From 2014-2017, I was sent to the Bumble and Bumble University to be further trained in cutting and styling, as well as becoming a certified Network Educator and product knowledge specialist.

In addition to education, I enjoy participating and donating my time and services to local fundraisers and events to better our world and the community. The past couple of years I have been a part of ‘Beats for Boobs’ in San Francisco for breast cancer research, St. Baldrick’s Foundation for childhood cancer research, and working booths at local school fundraisers. Whether it’s a few highlights, or a full makeover, my main goal is to help clients achieve the perfect look to help them feel their absolute best.

‘Being in the beauty industry has taught me that most of us are never satisfied with how we look. We all wish we had better hair, could lose that 10 pounds, or look like someone else. I always see the beauty in clients that have sat in my chair, and I’ve tried to help them see it, too, and feel good about themselves.’

I believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful in their own skin. It’s my mission to make my clients see their own beauty. I earned my Cosmetology license from Skyline College. I specialize in make up and hair design which include blowouts, haircuts, and updos for special events. I also enjoy hair color, Brazilian blowouts, and hair extensions.

Alongside working at various salons in San Francisco, I have worked at Urban Decay and Burberry as a make up artist. I strive to stay current in the hair and make up industry by taking classes so that I can be knowledgeable on  all the latest products and service techniques.

Before anything, I like to fully understand a clients hair goals and lifestyle. Are you a wash n’ go kind of a person? Do you like to take the time to style your hair everyday? Are you recovering from hair damage? It’s all about you. Let me help you be your own kind of beautiful!

As young as I can remember, my interest in doing hair sparked when my mom and my 3 sisters would take me with them to get their hair done in the salon. After quite a few trips to the salon, and observing all the neat colors, styles, and showing interest to their stylist, next thing I know I was able to be her little assistant every time I visited. My passion began to grow from there.

After I completed the rigorous training course at CSM, I received my Cosmetology license from California State Board. Shortly after, I found myself working for Silverado- a Memory Care Community, where I'm currently running their salon program for their residents in the community. From this amazing experience, I learned the true meaning of the phrase, “If you do what you Love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life." At the same time, I’ve also managed to run a station at an outside Salon for my personal clients.

My main goal as a stylist with a diverse clientele is to be able to achieve their desired look, with keeping the health, and the integrity of their hair in mind. With that being said, I use products that can be used on all hair types. I specialize in color formulation, fashion forward colors, along with hair color corrections, and natural hair care.

I truly believe education is key, with an industry that is constantly changing, I’m always looking for specialized training courses to better my knowledge and to keep my clients current. At the end of the day, I’m excited to provide excellent services to my clients along with gaining life long friendships.

Massage Therapist

My passion for the human existence was instilled in me before I had any idea what it would mean for my life. I have always had a sensitive, loving, compassionate soul. I have been especially interested in the mechanics of the human body, depths of our emotions, and different facets of spirituality. I started my journey towards becoming a healer before I realized what shape it would take. At the age of 13 I picked up my first Grey’s Anatomy textbook - no it didn't start on a TV show. It is a very old textbook on human anatomy and from there my inquisition grew.

I went on to become a first responder at the age of 14 at District 36 dirt bike races throughout the West Coast, escorting injured riders from the the track and helping patch up gouges, burns, impalements, broken bones, and dislocated joints. I did this most weekends until I graduated high school and became a medical major in college where I was coming a paramedic. My internship out of college was short-lived as I was too sensitive and compassionate to handle seeing such trauma, suffering, and death on a regular basis.

I floated for a few years dabbling in other interests for work, studying holistic methods of healing in my free time, until I got my first massage at the age of 23 and never look back! Within two months I was enrolled in one of the most grueling, informative, and renowned massage trade schools in the nation, the National Holistic Institute of Massage Therapy. I graduated 10 months later having attended 8 to 12 hour days 5 days a week, and a 900 hour program as a certified massage therapist and health educator. From there I have worked at chiropractors, wellness centers, spas and taken advanced courses in Himalayan salt therapy, cryotherapy, aromatherapy, personal training courses, and am always seeking more wisdom to help my clients thrive in this ruthless, challenging, and glorious world!

I have now been a licensed massage therapist for 4 years and look forward to making it my lifelong endeavor to nurture, heal, and spread knowledge to not only my guests, but all I come across! Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a better healthier you.

Great salon! Clean, friendly and a great place to have your hair done. I’ve went there for over a year now and it is superb!
